ds-RT 2025

Doctoral Colloquium

General Information

Following the success of previous years, the DS-RT 2025 conference is set to organize a Doctoral Colloquium focused on Distributed Simulation and Real-Time Applications. This forum is designed to provide PhD students and recent doctoral degree recipients with the opportunity to discuss their dissertation research in a supportive atmosphere. Students can expect helpful feedback and fresh perspectives on their research topics and possible career paths, and will have the opportunity to interact closely with distinguished leaders in this field and with their peers. The colloquium will support community-building by connecting early-career and established researchers in a welcoming and mentorship-forward environment.
The DC call is open to all PhD students — regardless of whether they are presenting research work at the DS-RT conference or not. All research topics suitable for the DS-RT symposium are appropriate for the DC. The DC strongly commits to achieving diversity among the student participants, including diversity across research groups and geographical areas.

Format

The colloquium will consist of a DS-RT session reserved for student presentations as well as general discussions with the expert panelists. A roundtable discussion session will give student participants the opportunity to interact more informally with all panelists to give students an opportunity to receive advice reflecting a broader set of perspectives. Selected students are expected to attend the event.

Submission Guidelines

We encourage submissions from students currently enrolled in doctoral programs and recent graduates. Submissions should be single-authored, while contributions of advisors and co-authors can be acknowledged in the abstract.
